SEADS (Space Ecologies Art and Design) is a transdisciplinary and cross-cultural collective of artists, scientists, engineers and activists. Its members come from all corners of the world, from places such as the Philippines, Belgium, the UK, Malaysia, Kosovo, and the US. SEADS is actively engaged in deconstructing dominant paradigms about the future and develops alternative models through a combination of critical inquiry and hands-on experimentation. As a member of SEADS, I can combine my fascination for research with my motivation for outreach and art. Working on different projects with a diverse team from various backgrounds.
One of the projects I worked on was Exomoon, an immersive theatre experience that lets its audience get a feel of what it is like to wake up on an exoplanet system after a long journey in hybernation. Going though the theatre spaces the audience experiences news from the past, scientific investigations and the low gravity of their new home world. My part in this exhibition was to greet these newcomers with a short introduction to the climate and weather of exoplanets. Seeing the audience going through this experience and afterwards listening carefully to my presentation showed me once more how immersive experiences can bring science much closer to a broad audience.

A collaboration between writers and exoplanet scientists to create short stories, poems and radio plays based on contemporary research.
Writing stories and bringing them to life has always been a fascination of mine. With Dungeons and Dragons I have a way to live it.
